This picture on the top left is an example of a luminary I designed recently for my monthly Card Club, and is one of four projects we made. The 'candle' on the inside is battery operated, so it's perfectly safe for this paper luminary. These candles can be purchased at many different locations, especially craft stores.
The next project is cut from a metal sheet and lined with Designer Series Paper, which adds a little strength and stability. Again, the metal sheets were purchased elsewhere, and you'll probably be seeing more projects made with different colors. This particular project is made to sit on a desk for pencils or notepaper, and is a gift for someone special. For added pizazz, I also ran the front of the metal through the Big Shot using an embossing folder. Won't it look nice on the office desk? I also personalized the front by adding an initial, using the same DSP from the inside lining. Are you looking for some unique gifts for that special someone in your life?
