One of the Relay for Life teams here in Galesburg is organizing a fundraiser with a Scrapbooking Crop at Sandburg Mall. The Date is April 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.. There will be vendors available at the crop. I was asked to represent Stampin' Up!. What an honor! Although the Direct Sales Association prevents me from selling merchandise as 'Cash and Carry', I can take orders. I will also have many of my tools with me just to try. If you see a Die in my collection and would like to try the pattern for your scrapbook, I will be glad to demonstrate for you. I have started using stamps and die-cuts in my own scrapbook with wonderful results!
If you are interested in joining us for this all day crop, you can contact Janice Martinez at 342-6571. Cost is $25 and includes lunch, supper and door prizes.
Happy Stamping,
Twila
I offer a variety of crafting options, including Greeting cards, handcrafted gifts, as well as some custom order handcrafted items, which will be listed on my 'Gift Shop' page.

Big Shot Alphabet

The two pictures for today's post are a good example of not wasting the cutouts from the Bigz Alphabet dies. The second picture below shows the letter cut out to accent the layout on my daughter's new calendar. I used what was left of the cutout, trimmed it down, and then made a coordinating birthday card ( I can't believe Jessica is 19 now). I used Rainbow Sherbet DSP and Tempting Turquoise and Apricot Appeal cardstock. I finished it off with the stamp set, Big Bold Birthday. She loves the way it almost matches the new purse she received for her birthday. The calendar above also is accented with the new Eyelet Border punch and the Big Shot die set, Go Go Boots alphabet (numbers only). Until Next time.
Happy Stamping,

Occasions Mini Catalog - Oval All Stamp Set

Today's post shows a card I made for the GlitterBees Stamping Group meeting swap this coming Friday. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is the new Walk in the Park DSP sold in the Occasions Mini Catalog available on April 1. I started using Cameo Coral cardstock for the base of the card. I trimmed the DSP with the scallop edge punch. I then stamped the fabulous friend on Baja Breeze card stock and cut it out using the large oval punch. The new scallop oval punch introduced in the Occasions Mini catalog, is cut with the Cameo Coral cardstock and used as the background for the stamp. To add a little more contrast, I used the 1 1/4 circle punch to cut out the DSP and centered it on a metal edge tag. This is backed by the scallop punch in Cameo Coral. The finishing touch is a large brad from the Hodgepodge Hardware.
What do you think? Don't the colors contrast beautifully? I'm constantly learning new things and look forward to sharing them with you.

Occasions Mini Sneak Peak

Do you like to make special decorations for Easter or Spring? Do you give your special loved one a card at Easter? Stampin'Up is offering a sneak peak at the new Occasions Mini Catalog that begins April 1. You can now order limited stamps from the new catalog before April 1 so you have a chance to finish your special projects in time.
Don't forget that Sale-A-Bration is still in effect until March 31! For every $50 ordered you can get a free item! It's very easy to spend that amount, believe me. The new stamps from the Occasions Mini Catalog will count towards your $50 purchase, so don't delay, try something new today. Who knows, you might get hooked like I did.
Happy Stamping!

Scallop Envelope Bigz Die quick card
I cut out the scallop envelope using the Big Shot (This is my favorite tool). Then I used the new Love You Much stamp set to send a message to my husband. Next, I used the scallop edge punch to make a slit in the flap of the envelope and added a scallop punch in a contrasting color to use as a tab. And last, I added a ribbon using a piece from the Hodgepodge Hardware. Don't you think this makes a cute little card? Perfect for sticking in a wallet or pocket.
Check back soon for another update.
