Holy Family

This is one of the cards we did earlier this week at Card Club.  The Holy Family and star were embossed in Gold on Whisper White Card Stock and backed with Brushed Gold Card Stock on Whisper White Base Card.  I highlighted the edges with Brocade Blue just to add a little color.  I'm thinking of ways to step up this card and using it for our family Christmas Cards for this year.  What do you think?  What would you do to embellish this card.  I don't want to add a lot of bulk with brads or ribbon.  Too much can add to the cost of postage.  Leave me a comment with your suggestions.

Don't forget, if you haven't done so yet, there are only two days left to check out the Online Extravaganza on Stampin' Up!  There are some phenomenal bargains there!!  Some items are up to 50% off!  Call me if you have any questions.

Happy Stamping,

Twila

  1. Hi Twila, I saw your post on LNS. Your card is lovely - very CAS.
Just a couple of suggestions - you could use the spotlighting technique on the baby Jesus to make him stand out a bit and you could also wrap some Gold Cord around the bottom a few times and just tie a simple knot in front. It is thin enough that it wouldn't add bulk.
    Hope that helps!
    Merry Christmas!

  2. Very Nice card and not too much. I like it the way it is.

  3. I take 1/2 sheet of night of navy and emboss the family in gold on the front. Then emboss the star in silver. Emboss the greeting on the inside. Simple, fast and more economical than using the brushed gold
